Focus on Healthy Skin Not the Eczema

Skin Care

You may have heard the adage “What you resist persist.” Well I learned that it was not until I decided to change my focus on my son’s eczema condition that I started attracting the treatments that stopped his eczema. See we live in a country, USA, where our medical system is based on a cure. You know when someone gets sick just take that person to the doctor and get a cure. Our entire medical system is based on that model. Therefore, we are conditioned to believe that creams and medication the doctors are prescribing for our child’s eczema will “cure” it.

Well here is my story. One morning I was laying in bed just exhausted and fed up with the scratching and isolation my son and I felt due to his eczema condition. As my son laid asleep, I turned to look at him I saw a beautiful, peaceful child who relied up me to help him deal with his uncomfortable, itchy skin. I then started brainstorming on what I must do to meet his expectations, and it was in that moment I realized that eczema was not a disease but a way of communicating to me what my son’s body did not like about our current environment and food I was feeding him. I needed to translate this communication to my understanding in order to stop his eczema. I soon was educated on dehydration, food allergies, household chemicals, laundry detergent, and materials that my son contacted often that triggered his body to react the way it did. Once I got those under control I was introduced to two amazing alternative health care practitioners who used their respective treatments to rebalance my son’s body to stop the scratching and thus stopping the eczema.

You have the same options as I have. Regardless of where you live in the world. You can either choose to look at your child’s eczema as a incurable disease and continue searching for a cure, or you can decide to translate what your child’s body is telling you and finally put a stop to the eczema. Trust your parental instincts and it will guide you.

My newsletter was created to give you guidance in translating your child’s eczema. It is up to you to choose which options works for your child. It is not intended that you implement every treatment. Sign up for the newsletter at my website.

Garlic

Garlic

I chose garlic as our next topic in our series helping you to stay on top of your game in business, because you probably use it anyway. The idea of a healthy-lifestyle for me is not necessarily one of “My body is a temple” or limiting your intake of food, but merely using the right foods, balanced with the appropriate amount of exercise.

So, Garlic.

Garlic has been used for thousands of years as both food and a medicine. At this point I would like to point out that I am only talking about fresh garlic in amounts you would add to food to help improve you health and its flavour. I am not talking about garlic specifically as a medicine, garlic supplements, powders or potions. Towards the end of this short blog I explain why I need to make that point.

Tip 1

Like most vegetables, Garlic is at its most effective when eaten raw, so you should try to have the occasional guacamole, humus, garlic oil, salad dressing etc made with raw garlic.

Tip 2

If you are adding Garlic to a cooked dish, cook the dish, turn off the heat and then add the garlic 2 minutes before the end. That way, the flavour will cook out and infuse into the dish, without loosing a lot of the benefits. Otherwise all you will end up with is garlic odoured breath and sweat. I saw an experiment on television last year, when a man put garlic cloves into his boots and within 10 minutes his breath smelled of garlic as it got absorbed from his feet, into and circulated via his blood stream.

These are the health benefits of garlic when used in moderation i.e. not in every meal, but a couple of times per week:-

It is claimed to help prevent heart disease, high cholesterol, high blood pressure and even cancer.
It helps to thin the blood, reduce aortic plaque and have cardiovascular benefits.
In 2007 the BBC reported that Garlic can prevent and fight the common cold. Personally I still get a cold once every 3 years, but they generally only last 24 hours.
Garlic is an antiseptic and was used to prevent gangreen in WW1 and WW11. It is used to treat intestinal worms and parasites.
It has been show to boost testosterone levels in animals.
It is an antibiotic 1% of the strength of penicillin.
It is claimed that Anthrax is sensitive to garlic, so you might consider hanging some up in the post room!

Warning!

It is generally understood that Garlic used in food related quantities is a health benefit, however for medicinal purposes and especially if you already take medication, you should seek the advice of a medical professional first, as some of its benefits can be detrimental to certain conditions.

It is a benefit to high blood pressure as it thins the blood, but subsequently can lead to increased bleeding especially in pregnant women. Its benefit in regulating blood-sugar levels means that it can interfere with insulin medicines.

So what?

If you are running a business and lets say the value you put on yourself is $1,000 per day (if not click here), how frustrating is it for you to take a day off sick? By making subtle changes like using fresh garlic correctly, you are doing something to prevent or fight many possible ailments. Do something new today!

The wonderful thing about running an internet based business is that I can take time off when I want, but I can tell you that losing a day because of a cold would cost me a lot more than $1,000.00

Remember also, especially if you are in an MLM business, that people will only join opportunities presented to them be leaders. Being fit and healthy can give you the self-confidence you need to become that ALPHA that can lead and support other on their road to becoming successful.

Good luck.
