Brain Fog – Should you Cleanse Your Brain?

Do you feel like you are in a brain fog? Having trouble concentrating and thinking clearly? Can’t remember? We spend so much time cleansing our exterior body and doing internal cleansing, but have you ever considered doing a brain cleanse?

Many of my readers have never heard of brain cleansing, and quite frankly, I gave it little thought myself until last Sunday. Here is what I researched:

SUGAR – If you are like me, you have a bit of a sweet tooth for something. Admit it. What is your weakness? The holidays are fast approaching and Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas are some of the most challenging days for watching sugar consumption. Sugar can be detrimental to brain activity, and cause hyperactivity. Just watch what happens when you feed children sugar! Work on reducing the amount of sugar in your diet. Make sure you read labels. Sugar is listed in foods that you least suspect would contain it.

Work on changing your eating habits and consuming more natural, freshly prepared dishes. You will start to notice that you will be calmer and your brain will not be racing quite as much. Your performance and focus will improve.

Caffeine – Studies have shown that caffeine decreases blood circulation in the brain. Most Americans consume an average of just over 2 cups of coffee daily. This small amount daily can constrict blood vessels in the brain and cause a reduction in cerebral blood flow. Avoid caffeine and you will help keep your brain clear.

Don’t forget to include Omega 3 rich fatty acids in your diet, or as a supplement. These fatty acids help to nourish the brain, and keep it functioning at its highest potential.

I really notice that when I eat carbs or anything sweet before bed I am in a brain fog most of the morning. some days when my allergies are really bad, I feel like I am in a brain fog as well. I also feel better when I avoid carbs and grains mostly. It gets rid of the brain fog. When I was a vegetarian, and living mostly on carbs, I had brain fog a lot! Now I know that I need to eat more healthy plant carbs, and healthy meat or protein to feel good and avoid the brian fog.

Very good points and information. When I clear people for heavy metals I find very many people, if not all, have mercury and aluminum in their brains obviously causing all kinds of issues.
I work a a specialized kinesiologist. And the caffeine issue–all those reports on how good coffee is for you–read those anti-oxidant reports closely, people. Caffeine is a protectant the coffee plant releases that stuns its predators. In their stupefied state those insects become the food for their predators.
The biggest issues in brain fog are candida (releasing formaldehyde into the brain) and dehydration. People have no clue how to drink the proper and required amount of water. Your brain takes priority in the hydration and all other functions. Most people are walking around about 2 quarts low–no kidding. Simply changing your water and caffeine habits often clears brain fog–pretty instantly too.

Great information Karen; me and my family just did a juice fast for 10 days and keep on doing that once a week! I went through tremendous headaches because of the caffeine. Now I am caffeine free for the first time in my life (drinking de-caffeinated ). I feel so much better. Can’t wait to use some of the Magnify Your Purpose oil! Thanks Karen!
