The Butterfly Effect in Your Business

by Karen Brooks on September 19, 2011

I had never heard of the Butterfly Effect until I read an article in my daily devotional. In physics, it describes how tiny changes in initial conditions (life the flap of a butterfly’s wings), can effect weather conditions thousands of miles away.

Imagine that this one small movement having such a profound effect on something that we don’t even think about.

What if you applied this to your business? The effort you put into your business may seem insignificant. You may feel that you are flapping your wings when you are standing up for truth and honesty in the marketplace, or when you are pounding on doors introducing your products benefits. You are probably asking, who sees or listens to what I am saying or doing? How can I face these insurmountable problems?

Remember what you do makes a difference. Your faith, works, deeds and actions can release the power of God to activate heavenly favor to work on your behalf.

Your “flapping wings” can change your life as well as those around you. The small series of movements take momentum and things begin to accelerate. You begin changing lives, beliefs, and opinions. Soon you begin to get noticed. Customers call, referrals start pouring in. Your business grows and flourishes. Faith gets stronger and you gain more confidence. Your life and the lives around you begin to change forever!

It all begins with the “flapping of wings”, and the faith to believe! Like that butterfly, you can change the cause of events for you and your business.

Do you think the Butterfly Effect can work in your business?  Share your ideas with me!!

This is a wonderful analogy! I love it. Makes every sense. We need to do the right kinds of actions to get the right kinds of effect. This is applicable not just to a business but to everything else.

We need to keep doing what we are doing, just like that butterfly; if it doesn’t flap its wings, it will drop to the ground in no time. Great analogy Karen!

Oh thank you so very much for this article. Not only has it proved to me yet again that if we are open and aware, signs and help are sent to us when we need them…but also that what I have been endlessly doing for the last 4 months may actually be having an effect…it’s hard to see it when noone is ordering my products…but your article has reminded me what I do know deep inside. I need patience and faith! Thank you again!
