It Is What It Is

This is a strong statement. I never realized how it evokes varied emotions in people.

During the course of my life, I have come to the realization that there are things that I can’t control, no matter what I do.  Why should I worry about it? Learning to accept the things that I can’t change or effect, has made a huge difference in my well being.  As I result, I am able move forward and focus on the things that really matter, and those I have an interest in making a difference with.

What about you? How do you react to “It Is What It Is”?  Do you feel anger and resentment toward events or people in your life? Negativity won’t change the circumstances.  We all need to move forward, one day at a time.

Why not work on counting your blessings and being grateful by accepting what is?  Focus on the positive and the richness that life has to offer.

Start with today, focus on every moment and experience. Find the value in everything that you do. Make the experiences and value grow.

Once you open up to “Gratitude” in your life, you will be able to accept circumstances, and look for the good in all of your experiences.

I agree we have to be grateful for what we have, though we should always be wanting new and better things or experiences. These should not be at the detriment of others nor should we be denied them because it is what it is.
