Life Doesn’t Go As Planned

Every day we have little things that don’t go as planned. It is so easy to become frustrated and upset.

Think about all of the things that didn’t go well recently. Was someone rude to you? Were you running a few errands that should have take a few hours, but ended up lasting all day? Life is full of inconveniences, but even though we can’t always control our circumstances, we can control our reaction to them. Have you ever read the quote, “Life is 10% what happens to you, and 90% how you respond.”

Attitude means everything. Start each day with a positive attitude, expecting the best to happen. Remember that we also need to recognize that most days may not go as planned.

Whatever happens, keep your peace. Peace puts you in a position of power. If you got stressed or upset over some minor incidents like a traffic jam, or one of your children not eating their meals, you are giving away your power. You are letting these circumstances take control of your mindset, your peace and your joy.

Make a decision to release any offense or minor disappointment so that you can live in peace and enjoy the day. You can be happier than you would ever imagine!

It may sound melodramatic, but I simply remind myself I have champagne problems. My dog wanting to go out AGAIN when I’m on the phone is annoying, but at least I have food, water and shelter! I also try and ask myself if this will be important in an hour, a day or a week. If its something that won’t go away without addressing it, I will. If not, I try and brush it off!

Expecting the best of your day even when things go wrong, there might be something good in it if we are open for it..
