Don’t let stress get the best of you this holiday season!

by Karen Brooks on November 21, 2011

Thanksgiving is only a few days away. Christmas is right around the corner. Do you feel like the holidays are the most stressful times of the year?  If you are like me, and most others, we all agree that everything becomes so hectic. You can feel very overwhelmed and stressed from all of the planning. First it is preparing the perfect Thanksgiving dinner, followed by Christmas decorating, shopping, and the ultimate Christmas feast.

Constant bombardment with scheduling, parties and events can cause unwanted stress and tension. So what can you do help you breeze through this season? Here are a few of my favorite oils and supplements, what they can do, and how I use them.

1.     Peace & Calming Essential Oil – Creates a sense of well-being no matter what the season. Easy to apply. Rub on you and your families feet.

2.     Lavender – Calming and helps to decrease anxiety so that you can cope with the hectic pace of the season. Great to diffuse throughout the house, or put a few drops in the palms of your hand, rub together and breathe in!

3.     Brain Power – Helps to kick start your thinking! Have one of those days when you can’t get started? Apply a drop on each of your temples and massage in.

4.     Essentialzymes 4 – With all of the holiday turkey and treats, taking enzymes will assist your body in breaking down your food so that it is absorbed properly. We all have a tendency to over eat or eat a tad too much! These enzymes will help to decrease that full feeling and general “tummy” issues you have during the season.

Don’t be fooled, these help year round. Great to take with every meal! When the tummy is happy, the mind and body are happy too!

The holidays and doldrums of Winter are upon us, each bringing their own challenges. Make sure that you are prepared to handle whatever comes your way. This is the most joyous and thankful season of the year. Make sure you take time to enjoy it! Happy Holidays!

I love my essential oils! I still recall when my children were very young and woke up in the middle of the night with earaches or other ailments, out would come the essential oils. I don’t know what I would have done were it not for these amazing oils!

Simple, but SO effective, Karen. Imagine how nice a big family meal could be if you’re diffusing Peace & Calming or Harmony!

I must admit I haven’t tried Essential Oils yet as I am so happy with what I am currently using that helps the structure and function of cells. But they sure sound interesting from all the good comments I hear. Happy Thanksgiving to you.

Using essential oils has completely changed my family’s health and over all well-being…from being able to get a restful sleep to finally finding a solution for my teenage granddaughter’s acne struggle! Thanks for sharing!
